  4. The access program for this CD is PSL_NEWS for DOS or PSL_WIN for Windows.
  5. Press ESC now (if you ran GO) and run one of those programs or type README
  6. for some preliminary information about this CD.
  7.  
  8. The access programs will let you read descriptions of all the programs on
  9. this CD. While reading about a program, you can install it by pressing "I" in
  10. PSL_NEWS or by clicking on a line with a file name in brackets in PSL_WIN.
  11. For other options, press the F1 function key while reading about the programs
  12. in PSL_NEWS or by clicking on Help in PSL_WIN.
  13.  
  14. Programs are arranged on this CD in directories by subject.
  15. For a quick read-and-install of a single directory/subject, change into that
  16. directory and enter: \GO
  17.  
  18. PsL's installation will simply un-ZIP a program's files onto your hard disk.
  19. After that, you must read the program's documentation (look for files with
  20. extensions of "DOC" or "TXT" or with "READ ME" in the names). You can use
  21. VIEW.COM from this CD to read those files. Some programs may have an
  22. additional installation program you must run. In some cases, you may have to
  23. copy the program files to a floppy to install them. PsL did not write these
  24. programs and cannot change their installation procedures. Read the program's
  25. documentation for installation and other program instructions.

  27. PLEASE NOTE:

  29. At this time, PSL_NEW, PSL_WIN and GO only work on the new programs in the
  30. \DOS and \WIN subdirectories, not on the directories in which sections of
  31. PsL's disk-based library are included, such as the \PRGMMING section on the
  32. December 1993 CD.

  34. For more information about the \PRGMMING section, change into that directory
  35. and type README.
